Responsible Gaming

This page covers safer gambling: what this site can and cannot do for you, practical habits that keep play in check, and where to find independent help. Read the first section before relying on anything here, because the controls that actually restrict gambling live elsewhere.

Boundaries

Deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are arranged by a reader inside an account at a gambling destination. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch such a control on, check it or enforce it. If you want to stop or slow down, set those controls at the destination where your account is held.

Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it. Any check of that kind happens at the destination. No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour.

Habits

  • Decide the amount before starting. A number fixed while calm is harder to argue with than one chosen mid-session, when wins and losses distort judgement.
  • Treat that amount as already spent. If you expect nothing back, a loss does not feel like a debt to recover.
  • Never chase a loss. Raising stakes to win money back increases what you can lose, and the odds do not change because you are behind.
  • Keep borrowed money out of it. Credit and loans turn entertainment spending into repayments that outlast the session.
  • Take breaks. Stepping away interrupts the rhythm of play and gives you a moment to check whether you are still within your plan.
  • Involve someone else early. When gambling stops feeling like entertainment, a person you trust can notice patterns you might explain away.

Help

This page, like every page of the site, carries links to six independent gambling-help organisations: BeGambleAware, Gamble Aware, Gambling Therapy, G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here, GAM STOP and NCPG. Each is an independent source of help.

These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking. They are set to nofollow and open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when you follow them.

Age

The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this site, including on the front page. If you are under eighteen, do not follow the operator links.
